This is a repository of biospecimens from multiple completed and ongoing clinical research studies with people living with HIV who use substances. Currently we have plasma, DNA, and PaXgene RNA for 110 sexual minority men living with HIV who use methamphetamine that were enrolled in a randomized controlled trial of a behavioral intervention. This also includes extant data on gene expression, DNA methylation, and plasma biomarkers relevant to HIV pathogenesis that can be accessed for secondary analyses. Submit a request via the Research Navigation Portal to request additional information on the repository or to access these data and specimens.
This is a consent to contact database of 279 HIV-negative sexual minority men who were recruited in four STI clinic sites in South Florida. This includes banked rectal swabs using RNA/DNA shield that can be used for measurement of the rectal microbiome. Currently our team has 16s microbiome data and biomarkers of rectal inflammation on a subset of men in this project that can be accessed for secondary analyses.
